This post covers how Wii save data works for Sengoku Basara 3 Utage on the Dolphin emulator, how to obtain and import saves, region/compatibility notes, practical tips, and troubleshooting.
Dolphin has "Save States" (Shift + F1 to save, F1 to load). However, never rely solely on save states. They can corrupt when switching Dolphin versions. Always use the in-game save (via the Sakon file save point) after importing your .bin file.

Inside the Title ID folder, you will find a file named data.bin. This single binary file contains your entire Utage progress: character levels, unlocked heroes, weapon stats, and storehouse contents. There is no separate graphics or config file. Sengoku Basara 3 Utage (Wii) — Save Data
Dolphin’s save states (Shift + F1-F8) are different from in-game saves. You can create a save state right before the final boss in Arcade mode, then use it to unlock multiple character endings instantly. This is much faster than replaying the entire mode.
Warning: Save states cannot be transferred between different versions of Dolphin (e.g., 5.0 vs Beta). Always keep a raw data.bin backup. Graphics Backend: Vulkan (AMD) or DirectX 12 (NVIDIA)
Dolphin emulator is cross-platform (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android). The location of your Basara 3 Utage save file depends on how you set up Dolphin.
