Do not confuse the Waste Ink Pad Counter Reset with refilling the ink tanks. This guide is for resetting the printer’s internal counter so it stops saying “Service Required” or “Parts at the end of their service life” (error codes like 0xF1, 0xF8, 0x9A).
Physically, the waste ink pads may still be full. Ignoring this can cause ink to leak inside your printer.

The Epson L380 is a popular ink tank printer known for its ultra-low cost per page. However, it is also known for hitting the “waste ink pad full” error after 1–2 years of regular use. epson resetter tool l380
Resetting the counter is a temporary fix. Here is what you need to know to avoid damaging your printer or your desk.
AdjProg.exe file and select Run as Administrator.To understand why you need the resetter tool, you must first understand the "Waste Ink Pad." Every time you clean the printhead or power cycle the printer, a small amount of ink is purged through a tube into a sponge-like pad at the bottom of the machine. However, Epson engineers installed a safety counter. After a certain number of purges (usually around 5,000 to 10,000 pages), the counter reaches 100%. The printer assumes the pad is full of ink and might leak inside your home. To prevent a mess, the printer locks down completely.

The Epson Resetter Tool L380 (also known as the Epson Adjustment Program or Waste Ink Counter Reset Utility) is a small software program that bypasses Epson’s factory lock. It connects to your printer via USB and forces the waste ink counter back to 0%.
Important distinction: This tool does not physically clean or replace the ink pads. It simply resets the digital counter. If your printer is very old or heavily used, you should physically open the printer and replace or wash the pads before running the resetter. Otherwise, you risk an actual ink leak.
